Brad Pipal

Sometime early in the nine years of piano lessons that I took as a kid I discovered that I could pick out melodies by ear and put chords to them. Then eventually the improvisational playing-by-ear part of me pretty much won out over the classical part. Anyone who has heard much of my playing at Amazing Grace has figured that out.

I also enjoy writing instrumental arrangements for solos or smaller ensembles. Several arrangement of mine have been used during our services.

I have two children and three grandchildren. I am retired from a forty-one-year career in software. I am an avid hiker when I am in shape.
