Worship together is the lifeblood of the congregation. It’s where we come together in celebration and in times of sorrow. In worship, we proclaim Jesus, remember God’s grace through our baptism, and are reminded of God’s gifts that we receive in Holy Communion. And then, empowered by the Holy Spirit, we join God at work in the world!
Worship is where we remember who we are as God’s people and become grounded in the wisdom of Scripture. The Revised Common Lectionary frames our worship by providing a variety of scriptures to study throughout the seasons of the church year. Weekly readings show the breadth and variety of voices within Scripture, which enriches preaching and the life of faith.
Our lively worship features a mix of traditional hymns and more current songs led by top-notch musicians, including our adult choir and children’s choir.
Each Sunday between worship services we have a time for conversation and refreshments. Most Sundays, we have fruit and donuts!
Intergenerational worship is key to our life together at Amazing Grace – and children are a big part of that! Children are invited to worship with their families, join in the Children’s Sermon, and participate in worship by singing in our children’s choir. We have busy-bags for kids who need to stay active while in worship, and we have a fully staffed nursery.
