By Children and Youth Minister, Tim Marburger
I just returned from a Camp Wapo informational meeting and want to share some very important information as you look ahead to 2019 Camp Wapo.
The cost has increased this year:
- SEEDS (grades 2 and 3) July 12—14—$175
- Youth Camp (grades 4 – 8) at Wapo July 14—19—$455
- Youth Camp (grades 9-12) at Ox Lake July 14-19—$455
In addition to horse and fishing camp, they are also adding a soccer and running camp (additional $80). Priority registration will begin on Tuesday, January 15. This is Amazing Grace.
We have found a VERY profitable way to raise funds. At our last Cub bagging day, two youth raised $100 each and the third raised $200! Parents can work with their youth and all monies are divided with those working that shift. Another tentative bagging is scheduled for Saturday, February 9, 10 AM – 6 PM.
Last year, AGLC sent 16 youth to camp and I’m hoping we can do this again in 2019. Also, remember that I have some scholarship money available, should you need some. Do not hesitate to talk with me about this.

Thanks to Zion Lutheran, Cottage Grove, for their invitation to participate in a Nerf Challenge on October 20 We had four youth attend and participate with a group of about 20. Here are a couple of pictures from that fun day.
Another new activity with Luther Memorial Church was for Grades 3 – 6. Fourteen kids played miniature golf at the Mall of America.
